HALIFAX - The leader of the Green Party of Nova Scotia is stepping down.

In a statement released Saturday, John Percy says he is leaving the position after six years at the helm of the party.

Percy cites age and health concerns, including glaucoma, as reasons for his resignation.

Brynn Nheiley will serve as interim party leader until a leadership convention is held within the next six months.
