EDMONTON - Tory candidate Linda Johnson will not be appealing a judicial recount in Calgary-Glenmore that showed her six votes behind NDP candidate Anam Kazim.

Kazim will now officially become the 53rd member of the NDP government caucus.

On election night the two were tied, but a recount by Elections Alberta put Kazim ahead by six votes and the judicial recount backed that up.

Johnson had until the close of business Wednesday to appeal the result to the Court of Appeal.
