A bus driver from Victoria, B.C. is recovering after a group of drunk passengers tormented her in a horrible incident.
The young people vomited and urinated from the upper level of a double-decker bus just after midnight Sunday. The bodily fluids dripped down and ended up on the BC Transit driver's face, hair, and eyes, according to a union official.
What's worse is that the unruly passengers didn't seem to feel bad about it.
"They were being loud and obnoxious and laughing at the operator thinking it was funny," Ben Williams, president of Unifor Local 333, wrote in an email to HuffPost B.C.
The woman had to undergo blood tests and have her eyes flushed out, he added.
"She is very upset and is at home trying to come to terms with such a disgusting situation happening to her," said Williams.
The union is investigating how the fluids were able to come into contact with the driver as it presents "serious safety concerns."
Victoria police told Global News that they were not notified about the incident and won't be investigating unless they receive a complaint.
