One man is in hospital after an overnight brawl at an east-end Toronto billiards hall.

Police were called to the VIP Pool & Bar on Ellesmere Road, at Warden Avenue, at about 1 a.m. Saturday. Two groups of people were fighting and one man had been stabbed in the abdomen, according to investigators at 41 Division.

The 20-year-old victim was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Two other men were pepper-sprayed during the incident, police said. They were treated on the scene and released.

Police say the victims are co-operating. A suspect remains at large.

Police are interviewing witnesses and reviewing security camera footage.
