Stanley Cup Scanned Through Airport Security Ahead Of Game 6

This is what hockey's highest honour looks like in an X-ray machine.

This is one massive piece of luggage that any Canadian airline would gladly accept as a carry-on.

Philip Pritchard has one of the most sacred jobs in sports: carrying the Stanley Cup from city to city. He documents the travels of the Holy Grail of hockey on his Twitter account.

He posted a striking photo of the trophy going through airport security en route to Chicago for Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Final.

Pritchard also showed what a massive package it is to have to scan through.

And the Conn Smythe trophy for NHL playoff MVP is no small item either.

Tonight could see the Blackhawks take their third championship in six years if they manage to defeat the Tampa Bay Lightning at Chicago's United Center.

If the 'Hawks pull it off, it would be the first time that the team has won the cup on home ice since 1938, TSN noted.
