Giant Pride Rainbow On Burrard Bridge Is A Fabulous Idea

"Vancouver is an inclusive city, let's show the world."

A giant splash of colour could be jazzing up one of Vancouver oldest landmarks this summer to celebrate the city's pride.

A petition has been launched to turn the Burrard Bridge into a massive pride rainbow.

"We're going to build the biggest pride rainbow ever," reads the petition. "Vancouver is an inclusive city, let's show the world."

If the City of Vancouver agrees, every signature on the petition would be copied onto the display, and others would be invited to add their names too.

According to Vancouver Is Awesome, the giant display would be unveiled on July 30 — smack-dab in the middle of Pride Week, which runs from July 27 to August 3, 2015.
