James Franco set crashed by meth-toting man on motorized bike, say police

Guelph police arrested a man who they say was carrying crystal meth on Tuesday evening for driving a motorized bicycle into the restricted area around a film set of a Stephen King miniseries starring actor James Franco.

The 19-year-old sped his bike at what police say was a "high speed" past officers working security on Huron Street, but police were able to stop him inside the barriers.

When police searched the man, they found he was carrying crystal meth.

The man has been charged with dangerous driving, four counts of breaching probation, three counts of breach of recognizance and possession for the purpose of trafficking. He was also charged under Ontario's Highway Traffic Act for driving without a license and driving without insurance.

The miniseries, 11/22/63, is based on a Stephen King novel about a man who travels through time to try to stop the assassination of U.S. president John F. Kennedy Jr., who was killed on November 22, 1963.
