Woman Found Dead In Shopping Cart Identified

A woman found dead in an Edmonton alley, tied up in a shopping cart Tuesday, has been identified as 42-year-old Andrea Marie Berg.

Berg's body was discovered behind The Belvedere Apartments near 124 Street and 114 Avenue with her legs bound and tape over her mouth.

The medical examiner found she died of blunt force trauma and police are calling her death a homicide.

Her death is Edmonton's 11th homicide this year.

Detectives continue to investigate.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Edmonton Police Service.
