Man, woman, charged with collecting $80K in welfare but not declaring income

BRANDON, Man. - Mounties have charged two Manitoba residents with not declaring income while collecting welfare.

Brandon RCMP say two people are accused of defrauding Manitoba's Employment and Income Assistance program of more than $80,000 since 2010.

Forty-six-year-old Candace Bone of Shilo, and 41-year-old Todd Bone of Sprucewoods are scheduled to appear in Brandon provincial court on July 27.

Mounties gave no other details.
