Knox Mountain fire triggers evacuation alert in Kelowna

A brush fire that broke out in Knox Mountain Park in Kelowna, B.C., triggered an evacuation alert on Sunday evening.

The Kelowna Fire Department said 30 firefighters managed to contain the three hectare fire, but the evacuation alert — meaning residents should be ready to leave at a moment's notice — remains in place.

The alert applies to homes on the following streets:

- Woodpark Court.

- Woodpark Crescent.

- Avonlea Way.

- Lambeth Court.

- Camelot Court.

- Pendragon Place.
