CBC Montreal producer Alison Cook took home one of the biggest prizes for radio documentaries in the world for her documentary "A just life," which ran on CBC Radio One's Ideas.

The documentary delves into the life and legacy of former McGill University law professor Roderick A. Macdonald. Macdonald inspired a generation of legal minds, and his work paved the way for the legalization of same-sex marriage, and led to Canada's apology to residential school survivors.
