Guy Turcotte appears in court before retrial

Guy Turcotte is scheduled to be back in court today in Saint Jerome, Que., in anticipation of his retrial on murder charges.

Judge André Vincent ordered that Turcotte be present for today's hearing.

The Crown is expected to enter a motion, the subject of which is covered by a publication ban.

Turcotte was released on bail last September.

At his first trial, he was found not criminally responsible for the deaths of his children Olivier and Anne-Sophie.

Quebec's court of appeal overturned that decision in 2013 and ordered a new trial.
