HALIFAX - A Vancouver-based technology company is eligible for a payroll rebate of up to $2 million in Nova Scotia if it creates 150 jobs in Halifax.

Global Relay provides cloud-based electronic message archiving and supervision to the financial sector and has 20,000 customers in 90 countries.

The company has signed a five-year payroll rebate deal with Nova Scotia Business Inc., the province's business development agency.

The agency says the company will be eligible for a smaller payroll rebate if it creates fewer than 150 jobs.

The company says it will hire software developers in the city.
