Here's what you need to know for Wednesday, June 24, 2015:

Weather

It's expected to be sunny early, before becoming a mix of sun and cloud this afternoon. The expected high is 26 C except 22 C near Lake Ontario. The UV index is 8, or very high.

Traffic

Great news for southbound Hwy. 400 motorists: lanes on the ramp to eastbound Hwy. 401 have temporarily reopened. Construction is on hold until the end of Pan Am Games.

Transit

GO Transit and the TTC are running smoothly. Most flights are on time, though there are a few early-morning delays.

Megabus crash

Twenty-three people were injured, four of them seriously, after a Megabus crash on the Hwy. 401.

The bus was travelling from Montreal to Toronto yesterday afternoon, when it collided with a tractor-trailer near Cornwall.

2 shot at Morningside and Sewells

A double shooting last night at Morningside Avenue and Sewells Road has left a man and a woman in hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

A woman was shot in the buttocks and a man was shot in the arm just before 10 p.m., near a bus shelter.

Both ran into a pizza shop for help and were taken to hospital.

Police don't yet know if both were the intended targets, or if the man and woman knew each other.

The suspect fled the area on foot, police said.

They're asking anyone with information to call 42 division.
