Trey Lyles went from the hockey rink to the basketball court at age seven and never looked back.

Born in Saskatoon, the 6-10 basketball phenom is poised to be the first player born in the city to get drafted in the NBA. Speculation in sports publications has him going anywhere from No. 4 to No. 20.

Lyles was born on the prairies but moved to Indiana in grade school.

By high school, he'd caught the eye of scouts and ended up playing for the talent-laden University of Kentucky.

The NBA draft is tonight.
