There's one type of photo guaranteed to get a second glance on Tinder: the dog photo.
That's right, it's near impossible to swipe left when you've got the sweet, innocent eyes of a pup staring directly at you.
And now, thanks to Tindog, that struggle is even more real. The new location-based app, developed by French company Holidog, helps people set up play dates with dogs nearby with the hope that it will one day blossom into puppy love for both pets and owners.
“Whether it’s building new friendships or even making a love connection, Tindog is a great way to expand your social circle with others who love man’s best friend just as much as you do," CEO Julien Muller explained in a press release.
Just like the dating app, Tindog allows pet owners to swipe right to like and left to pass on pets in the area. When two pets match, the owners can start chatting and planning their dates.
Unfortunately for cat owners, Tincat might be a long ways away. According to popular dating site Match.com, photos of women with their cats still make people think of the "crazy cat lady" stereotype.
This isn't the first time dogs have gotten in on the dating app game. In 2014, Bark & Co. launched BarkBuddy, an app that matched shelter dogs with people looking to give a dog a forever home, Time reports.
