Police completed their search of the aircraft at around 9 p.m. Saturday and have turned the plane over to the Saskatoon Airport Authority.
The threat made against the plane originated in Ontario, so the investigation is now being conducted by the Ontario Provincial Police with support from police in Saskatoon.
Passengers were not told why the plane was being diverted.
"A little information would have been nice, but I think if they would have told us there was a bomb threat on the plane, while we were on the plane, it would have caused a panic," said passenger Wade Wick on Saturday.
About 150 crew members and passengers had to be taken off the plane once it landed.
No arrests have been made in the case.
