Alex Trebek Raps 'Fresh Prince' Theme Like William Shatner Would

He didn't rap it so much as recite it with emphasis in strange places.

Alex Trebek didn't so much rap the theme to "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" on Monday night's "Jeopardy!" as recite it the way another famous Canadian might.

The longtime host read out a clue under the "TV" category which quoted the theme from the popular '90s sitcom. And he recited it with pauses and breaths in strange places, as though he were William Shatner.

The contestants didn't miss a beat, however, correctly answering that it was the theme to the show that made Will Smith a star.

We get it: hosting a game show for so long can be tedious. You need to jazz things up. But Alex, you know what we really want to see is you doling out the verses.
