Cyclist killed in Les Coteaux crash

Quebec provincial police say a cyclist in his 80s has died after he was hit by a driver west of Montreal.

The crash happened at 12:30 p.m. on Route 338 in Les Coteaux. Police believe the 86-year-old cyclist was trying to cross the road. 

He was not wearing a helmet. 

The driver of the car was also taken to hospital to be treated for shock. 

The area where the accident occurred has just been reopened to traffic.
