Remember that 18-year old who designed her own prom dress? Now she's back and taking on the red carpet.
Viral sensation Kyemah Mcentyre has gained the attention of not only the internet, but celebrities on the hunt for innovative designers. The teen first showed off her talent with her self-made prom dress, which she created to shut down the bullies who called her "ugly" in school.
Most recently the New Jersey teen experienced her first foray into red carpet design when she created a dress for actress Naturi Naughton for the 2015 BET Awards.
The 31-year-old "Power" actress slayed at the carpet in a vibrant orange floor-length dress designed by Mcentyre. The one-of-a-kind dress is stunning on Naughton with its intricate print detailing, plunging neckline and mermaid flare to tie it together.
The dress marks the young designer's second ever designed item. Seriously, she's giving us major #talentgoals.
The young designer shared with Cosmopolitan.com that to create the dress, she took notes by phone on how Naughton wanted the dress to look and made three sketches. Within less than a week, the gown was ready for the carpet.
"When I saw her sketches, I just felt like, this girl is an artist," Naughton told Cosmopolitan.com.
It's refreshing to see that after winning over the internet, Mcentyre is gaining attention as a serious designer.
We love Naughton for her great eye and taking a chance on new, young talent and wish Mcentyre all the best in her escalating career as a fashion designer.
