Man dead after police called for disturbance at Brampton apartment

A male victim has died from stab wounds after being rushed to hospital following a disturbance in Brampton early Tuesday afternoon.

Peel police were called to a low-rise apartment complex at 1219 Leslie Street near McLaughlin Road shortly after 1 p.m. for reports of a disturbance.

An adult male was rushed to Brampton Civic Hospital with serious head injuries, according to a tweet from Peel Paramedics.

A short time later, Peel police tweeted that the victim had died and the force's homicide detectives had taken over the investigation.

McLaughlin Road was closed between Campbell Drive and Flowertown Avenue due to police activity.
