Two men are being sought after Thursday's stabbing in Pickering, Ont., that killed a 25-year-old Brampton man.

Durham Regional Police have identified the victim as Dionecio "Deshane" Nelson.

Police said in a news release Friday that the victim was leaving a party in the area, but it's possible that it was a random encounter and that Nelson didn't know his attackers.

Investigators are searching for two men and the vehicle they fled in, last seen driving northbound from the area.

The first man is described as black with a dark complexion, in his early 20s, approximately 6'2" tall, with an afro hairstyle.

The second man is described as black with a light complexion, in his early 20s, approximately 5'7" tall, with an afro hairstyle.

The vehicle is described as a silver, 2002 to 2008 4-door Honda Civic.

Anyone with information may call the Major Crime Homicide Unit at 1-888-579-1520 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
