The Duchess of Cambridge (a.k.a. Kate Middleton) very rarely takes a fashion misstep when it comes to official occasions, and her daughter's christening was no exception.
Princess Charlotte, who was christened on Sunday, was dressed in a Angela Kelly gown, similar to the one worn by her brother two years ago. Mom Catherine was the picture of respectful elegance in a white Alexander McQueen white coat and cream-coloured pumps, according to Vogue. She topped off her look with an elegant ivory Jane Taylor hat, with floral lace details.
Prince William, meanwhile, had his classic navy suit on, while Prince George was decidedly more casual in red shorts and a white smocked shirt by Rachel Riley:
A look that wasn't all that different from what his father had worn to Prince Harry's christening in 1984:
And in fact, was almost identical to what dad wore to meet his little brother at the hospital that same year:
We love the symmetry the royal family is going for here!
