A three-year-old boy has learned the hard way not to park on the Halifax waterfront illegally.
A photo posted on social media by the Halifax Regional Police last Sunday shows Const. Shawn Currie writing a blank ticket for Declan Tramley, who parked his red plastic motorcycle near the city's ferry terminal.
The boy made the moment picture-perfect when he raised his hand to his forehead.
Currie spotted the boy while patrolling Chebucto Landing as the city prepared to put on a late Canada Day fireworks display on Friday, CBC News reported.
The photo had been shared over 2,300 times on Facebook, and re-tweeted over 1,200 times as of Tuesday morning.
"It's stuff that I do every day, just meeting people, talking to people and taking pictures every day," Currie told the network.
"I don't expect things to be this big. It was cute."
Tramley's mother Lisa told CTV News that her son loves the ticket, and that he even tried to go to sleep with it.

It's not the first time that Canadian police have shown such a great sense of humour on social media.
