Police searching for 2 female, 5 male suspects in Kensington Market robbery

Toronto police are searching for seven suspects in a violent robbery that occurred in Kensington Market over the weekend.

Two men were robbed early Sunday morning at about 2:30 a.m. ET in the area of Kensington Avenue and St. Andrew Street.

Security video footage of the incident shows two women standing on a sidewalk as the two men walk by. One man appears to hold up his hand to high-five one of the women. The four then appear to engage in conversation.

Police say the women lured the men into a nearby alleyway, where they were then surrounded by five other men.

The five men robbed one man of his cellphone, the other of his watch. One of the victims was thrown to the ground and kicked. The other's face was slashed with a knife, say police.

The female suspects are described as white with long black hair. One woman was wearing black pants, a black jacket, a black shoulder bag and white shoes. The other was wearing a purple University of Toronto sweater, a black backpack and white shoes.

Police say the five male suspects are black. They're described as: 

- Tall, slim build, wearing a red and white bucket hat with a grey hoodie and red pants.

- Tall, slim build, wearing a grey hoodie with a modified Toronto Blue Jays/uzi logo on the front, black pants and black shoes.

- Slim build, short hair, wearing a black open shirt with a red T-shirt with white writing.

- Large build, short hair and a beard, wearing a grey sweater with a white undershirt and blue jeans.

- The last suspect was wearing a black hoodie, black baggy jeans and white running shoes.
