TORONTO - Canada won't have its top two singles players for its Davis Cup tie against Belgium.

Tennis Canada announced Thursday that Vancouver's Vasek Pospisil won't play in the Davis Cup match because of a severe bone bruise to his right wrist.

That's a huge blow to a Canadian squad already missing its top singles player, hard-serving Milos Raonic of Thornhill, Ont., who is recovering from the lingering affects of foot surgery.

Pospisil is coming off a solid performance at Wimbledon, reaching the men's singles quarter-finals before losing in straight sets to Britain's Andy Murray on Wednesday.

Pospisil's replacement will be announced at a later date.

The tie will be played in Ostend, Belgium starting July 17.
