Downtown Montreal Stabbing Injures 3 Women

A conflict between a man and three women degenerated in the heart of downtown Montreal early Friday morning, leaving the women with non-life-threatening stab wounds.

The incident happened just before 4 a.m. on Friday at the corner of Ste-Catherine Street West and Drummond Street.

Const. Anie Lemieux of Montreal police said the stabbing happened after an argument between the four people.

"We still don't have all these details about why and how it all started, but what I do know is the three women were injured with a sharp object. They were taken to hospital their life is not in danger, we are talking about relatively minor injuries," Lemieux said.

Police arrested a suspect at the scene.
