A 10-month-old girl from Ohio is stealing our hearts after her mother posted a video to Facebook of her trying on her first pair of glasses.
In the short clip, baby Piper is seen fighting her mother, Jessica Sinclair, who struggles to put on her daughter’s glasses. But once the specs are on, Piper’s expression instantly turns to pure happiness as she sees her parents clearly for the first time.
Since being uploaded last month, the video has gone viral. It now has over 19 million views and it’s not hard to see why! Piper’s joy is utterly infectious.
According to Piper’s mother, the baby girl is farsighted. “We started to notice that she was having issues reaching her milestone of crawling,” Sinclair explained to WKRC Cincinnati. “So at her regular pediatric check they did an eye screening and saw that she might have had a slight astigmatism.”
Thanks to the video’s success, Sinclair says she hopes it will help raise awareness of the importance of infant eye checkups.
