Canada's women's beach volleyball pair dominated in their opening match against Cayman Islands Monday at the Pan Am Games in Toronto.

Winnipeg's Taylor Pischke and Toronto's Melissa Humana-Parades came away with a straight-sets 2-0 victory, claiming the first set 21-8 and closing it out 21-10 in the second.

The young duo will take on Puerto Rico Tuesday afternoon in their second of three pool A preliminary matches.

The men's team of Josh Binstock and Samuel Schachter are also in action on Tuesday, facing Nicaragua in their first test of the games.
