Lea Michele's Cory Monteith Tribute Is Heartwrenching, Even 2 Years Later

The actor who played "Glee's" Finn Hudson lives on in our hearts.

The actor's former girlfriend and "Glee" co-star Lea Michele posted a heartwarming tribute to the actor on Monday morning.

Monteith died of a mixed drug toxicity of alcohol and heroin before he was found in Vancouver's Fairmont Pacific Rim hotel.

He had previously spoken of his past struggles with drug addiction.

Monteith touched millions of fans on "Glee" as high school quarterback Finn Hudson, who is blackmailed into joining the glee club after teacher Will Schuester (Matthew Morrison) hears him singing.

He soon develops a close relationship with Rachel Berry (Michele), a talented and ambitious glee club member who dreams of starring on Broadway.

The pair were dating in real life for over a year before Monteith died.

Michele also posted a tribute to Monteith on what would have been his 33rd birthday, in May.

R.I.P., Cory.
