Robert Koenig, Abbotsford man, charged with child luring of 12-year-old Utah girl

A 22-year-old B.C. man has been charged with child luring in connection with pornographic images found on the computer of a 12-year-old girl in Utah.

Robert Madison Koenig, from Abbotsford, B.C., was arrested on July 9 and subsequently charged with child luring and exposing a child to sexually explicit material.

Police were alerted after the girls' parents found the online correspondence, purporting to be from a 15-year-old Vancouver man, on their daughter's computer.

According to Abbotsford Police, an extensive search led them to Koenig, and all electronics seized from his home are being examined by forensics.

Koenig was released on condition that he have no contact with anyone under 16 years of age, stay away from parks, playgrounds, recreation centres, or anywhere else a person under 16 may be expected to be present. He is also forbidden from using a computer to access pornography of any kind.
