Toronto men arrested - twice - and charged with stealing $1,800 worth of meat

Two Torontonians have been charged in connection with stealing $1,800 worth of meat from an Oshawa supermarket.

Durham police say the two were carting the meat away from the Real Canadian Superstore Monday night when an employee began following them. They say one suspect left the meat behind, hopped into a U-Haul truck and drove away. The second ran away.

Police say both men were arrested a short time later.

They say they also "discovered $224 in merchandise stolen from a Lowes store and $3,311 in product stolen from a Walmart store."

Both men were charged with theft and later released on condition not to associate with each other.

But just after 1 a.m. on Tuesday, police say the two were found walking together at Bond Street West and Park Road North in Oshawa. They were arrested again and held for bail hearings.

Giuseppe Muscio, 52, and Mark Noseworthy, 47, face the following charges:

- Three counts of theft Under $5,000

- Three counts of possession of property obtained by crime

- Breach of probation
