NEGUAC, N.B. - The wastewater collection system is being extended in a New Brunswick community with funding from three levels of government.

The province says a $6-million system extension will be installed in Neguac.

Lisa Harris, member of the legislature for Miramichi Bay-Neguac, says the project will bring wastewater collection to 15 streets in the village.

Only half of the homes are now connected to the municipal system.

Under the Small Communities Fund, the province and the federal government are jointly investing about $85 million in infrastructure over the next 10 years, with municipalities matching the funding.
