Canada's scoring problems continued Monday in its last game of the Pan Am men's soccer tournament, which ended with a 2-0 loss to Peru.

The result of the game was irrelevant in terms of moving on, as both Peru and Canada were out of contention before the game began.

The Canadians needed a win by Brazil over Panama earlier Monday, but the Brazilians blew a 3-0 lead en route to a 3-3 draw.

Canada finished with a record of one draw and two losses, scoring only one goal in the tournament, in a 4-1 opening loss to Brazil.

Peru's first goal came off the foot of Eldar Rodas, who scored the goal via free kick in the 12th minute. Gonzalo Maldonado was credited with the second goal for Peru, which was an own goal.
