GATINEAU, Que. - A Quebec man who allegedly shook his infant daughter had his criminal charge upgraded to manslaughter on Monday as a result of her death.

The 25-year-old was orginally charged with aggravated assault after the girl was found unconscious last week.

Police had previously announced that the girl, who was not yet two months old, died Friday.

The accused's bail hearing will take place Wednesday.
