Pan Am Games

Canada's women's basketball team won gold on Monday night, beating the Americans after falling behind early. It was Canada's first-ever gold in the event. You can read about their big win and watch highlights here here. 

Here's a list of what you need to know about Tuesday's events at the Games. 


A funeral is scheduled today for the four-year-old boy who died after falling out the window of an apartment building on Saturday. 

The man who shot the most famous Rob Ford crack video has pleaded guilty to five charges. They include trafficking in weapons and drugs.

Mohammad Siad was picked up during the Project Traveller raids, a police anti-gang operation in which 50 people were arrested.

And three years of construction, the tunnel to Billy Bishop Airport will open next week. The $83 million project was paid for by a public-private partnership.

The 260-metre pedestrian tunnel will give passengers the option to walk to their flights instead of taking the ferry. The tunnel is accessed by escalators and has four moving sidewalks.

Ports Toronto has announced it will open to the public on July 30.
