Mandy Bujold Takes Canada To Flyweight Finals In Pan Am Boxing

Canada's Mandy Bujold advanced to the gold-medal fight of the women's flyweight tournament with a split decision win over Colombia's Victoria Valencia on Tuesday at the Pan American Games.

Ringside judges scored the fight 40-36, 38-38, 40-36 in favour of Bujold.

The native of Kitchener, Ont., faced American Marlen Esparza on Saturday.

Earlier Tuesday, Toronto's Arthur Biyarslanov beat Argentina's Lucas Giminez on points to advance to the semifinals of the men's light welterweight tournament.

He'll face Venezuela's Luis Arcon Diaz on Wednesday night.
