A 22-year-old man from Richmond Hill has been charged with allegedly luring a 13-year-old boy on a social media site.

Police say that while they were patrolling around plazas in the Yonge Street and Industrial Road area in the early hours of June 16, they saw two males walking in an alley behind a bowling alley.

Police are alleging that the 22-year-old had initially met the 13-year-old on a social media site using the screen name "funtetrafuntetra" and suggested they meet.

The 22-year-old was arrested Tuesday and charged with one count of luring a child.

Police say they would like to speak with anyone who has interacted online with a person using the "funtetrafuntetra" nickname.
