2-year-old boy missing in Waterloo, Que.

Police officers and a canine unit are scouring an area near Place Lavigne in Waterloo, Que., this evening after a toddler was reported missing.

Provincial police say they got a call Friday, shortly after 6 p.m. about a missing two-year-old boy.

"He was possibly with a parent of a family member when they lost sight of him," said Sûreté du Québec spokeswoman Mélanie Dumaresq.

Waterloo is in the Montérégie, about 20 kilometres east of Granby.
