Morinville Girl Drowns In Pond: Alberta RCMP

MORINVILLE, Alta. — Police near Edmonton say they are investigating a drowning of a two-year-old girl.

RCMP in Morinville say the girl was reported missing on Saturday morning after she had been playing at a park with siblings.

Police later found her unresponsive in a pond.

Efforts to revive her failed, and she was pronounced dead by emergency medical workers.

RCMP say the medical examiner's office is part of the investigation.

On Friday, a two-year-old boy in Quebec wandered off while playing outside his home. He was later found in a water-filled ditch and pronounced dead at hospital.
