Fatal collision leaves motorcyclist dead in Scarborough

An adult male riding a motorcycle has been killed in a two-vehicle collision in Toronto's east end.

Toronto paramedics say they received a call at 1:30 p.m. about a crash at the intersection of Ellesmere Road and Kingston Road, just south of Highway 401 in Scarborough. Toronto police described the incident on Twitter as a "very serious accident."

The coroner is on the scene. There are no known injuries to the driver of the other affected vehicle.

Toronto Police Services also tweeted Kingston Road has been closed in both directions between Meadowvale Road and Ellesmere Road.

Local police and traffic services were not immediately available for comment. Details of exactly what happened have not yet been released.
