The Toronto Blue Jays helped shored up their bullpen Friday, acquiring right-hander reliever Mark Lowe from the Seattle Mariners according to multiple reports.

The reports indicate that three minor leaguers will be going back to the Mariners for Lowe, whose contract expires at the end of the season.

Lowe, from Houston, has appeared in 34 games this season, posting an ERA of 1.00. He is also averaging 11.8 strikeouts per nine innings while only issuing 2.8 walks per nine.

Lowe's acquisition, along with the addition of LaTroy Hawkins earlier this week will help bolster a bullpen which has struggled this season.

He has also posting an ERA of 0.93 in innings seven through nine this season.

Haren dealt to Cubs

The Chicago Cubs have reportedly added to their starting rotation, acquiring pitcher Dan Haren from the Miami Marlins.

According to reports, the Cubs are sending back two prospects to Miami for Haren, who has a 7-7 record in 2015, with a 3.42 ERA

The six-foot-five right-hander has thrown 88 strikeouts in 129 innings pitched this season and has also spent time with the Cardinals, Athletics, Diamondbacks, Angels, Nationals, and Dodgers in his career.

Chicago(54-47) is only two games back of a wild card spot in the National League while the Marlins(42-60) are completely out of contention for the playoffs
