Stop Rewarding Kids Just For Showing Up

Parents make the argument against participation ribbons.

A week ago, NFL linebacker James Harrison revealed on Instagram that he took away his sons’ participation trophies to teach them that “everything in life should be earned.” This then sparked a debate over whether or not kids should be rewarded just for showing up.
