Real Vegans vs. Their Dramatic Stereotypes

VEGANS HATE MEAT EATERS! (Also not true.)

They shame you for eating burgers and eat bland meals on the daily — these are just some of the negative stereotypes vegans and vegetarians have to deal with.

In the video above by Buzzfeed, we get a good (and pretty accurate) look of what it's like to be a vegan on a daily basis... and what it's not like. From eating delicious meals to getting a sufficient amount of protein, there's a lot more to vegans than just eating greens and loving animals.

And of course, while there are health benefits to eating a plant-based diet, there are easy ways you too can add more veganism to your own diet (without giving up meat entirely). According to Everyday Health, eating more veggies, fermented foods and swamping out condiments like mayo all contribute to a healthier lifestyle.

So the next time you see a vegan, grab lunch together!
