CALGARY — A little boy has severe facial injuries after being attacked by a dog in a Calgary home.

EMS spokesman Stuart Brideaux says paramedics arrived at the house in the Ranchlands neighbourhood around noon today.

Brideaux says he was taken to Alberta Children's Hospital in serious but stable condition.

He says the boy has "significant" soft tissue injuries to his face.

Police and Bylaw Services are determining what led up to the attack and it's not known what type of dog was involved.
