Evander Kane Woos Mara Teigen Back With Huge Billboard

Who says grand gestures don't work?

NHL star Evander Kane has scored with a billboard scheme to win back his model girlfriend Mara Teigen.

The Vancouver-born player rented the giant sign above a trendy Los Angeles club over the weekend in an apparent ploy to woo her back, reported New York Daily News.

It looks like the 24-year-old NHL star is no longer on thin ice.

Teigen, 20, told TMZ: "I was very flattered, I thought it was really sweet."

She didn't disclose what the fallout was over, but added, "We're working things out." (Watch above.)

The high-traffic location likely cost a pretty penny — not that it would be a big deal for Kane, who makes more than $5 million a year with the Buffalo Sabres. He was traded from Winnipeg in February.

Teigen met Kane in New York, where he had a game, according to Sports Illustrated, and their first date was at a Knicks-Bulls basketball game in Madison Square Garden.
