Canadian YouTube star Nicole Arbour caused an online fury earlier this week after posting a video called "Dear Fat People," where she says fat-shaming is "not a thing."
In the vid, Arbour goes on to say she believes fat people should be shamed until they lose weight, and should not be allowed to use their weight as a disability.
Naturally, Nicole received plenty of backlash, with model Tess Holliday and YouTube star Grace Helbig giving some pretty powerful responses to the controversial video.
Now, Chrissy Teigen is weighing in, saying the social media personality was being "mean unnecessarily."
In an interview with People Now, the 29-year-old model says, "Yes, Nicole, there is such a thing as fat-shaming, and you're doing it right now."
She continues, "The worst thing about about the Nicole Arbour thing is this has made her head even bigger somehow. On her Twitter and social media, she is living for this moment.
"We've just given her this platform to feel like her opinion does matter, and so no matter if we're talking negatively about it or positively, she's winning. So that's the worst part about it."
