When someone says they made something from scratch, it's safe to assume they bought raw ingredients and cooked them on their own. When YouTube star Andy George says it, it's a little more complex.
In the video above, George shows us what it takes to make a chicken sandwich — entirely from scratch.
Throughout the (obviously time-lapsed) 3:43 minute video, George not only grows the vegetables and bakes the bread, he also milks a cow to make cheese, creates salt from ocean water and kills the chicken with his bare hands (and yes, it is as graphic as it sounds).
All in all, George says the process took him about six months and cost him $1,500.
