BATHURST, N.B. — The federal Conservatives are down a candidate in New Brunswick for the upcoming election.

The Conservative party has confirmed that Louis Robichaud is no longer their candidate in the riding of Acadie-Bathurst.

Lester Young, the president of the Acadie-Bathurst Conservative riding association, would only say that Robichaud dropped out of the race for personal reasons.

Robichaud was also the party's candidate in the 2011 federal election but lost to Yvon Godin of the NDP.
