Eric Ellingsen, Abbotsford Man, Charged With Child Porn Offences

The suspect was arrested after a three-month investigation.

A B.C. man has been criminally charged after photos and videos of children being sexually abused were found in his home, said Abbotsford police.

Eric Andrew Ellingsen, 28, has been charged with accessing child pornography, distributing child pornography, and possession of child pornography after a three-month police investigation, Const. Ian MacDonald said in a news release Tuesday.

Officers seized DVDs, CDs, computers, and phones that gave police "enough evidence" to make the arrest after a search of Ellingsen's house on Sept. 3, said MacDonald.

Ellingsen has since been released on bail under several conditions, including a ban on being near parks, playgrounds, swimming pools, and recreation centres where children could be present.

He is also forbidden from owning any device that could access the Internet or communicating with any children online, said police.
